Offline | New GTT '05 MCS Exhaust Re-Route Pipe+ pic Hi Guys ,there is now a new longer version of this product available for 2005 model MCS's. This is required due to an additional kink in the latest system. For those not familiar with our Re-Route Pipe, please see our website below. Further improvements include boring the end cups to give even closer tolerance sliding fit over the stock exhaust. The new version is £85+vat, the shorter version for pre '05 cars remains at £79+vat. | MINI2 Regular | unless Im very mistaken , no it is not Chris. The cat remains (much further upstream) , whereas the link pipe just removes one of the rear silencer boxes (also known as the 'one ball' exhaust mod). see the pic in the MINI2 FAQ Basically it just 'cuts' out the 1st silencer. The pipe is where the arrow is in the pic. Benefits ? Some extra horses maybe , much better sound , and huge weight loss 20lbs+ HTH JohnO ![]() |

| MINI2 Master | Oooh so I could fit this with my Miltek manifold (with sports cat)? Would it really improve the sound? I've been looking to "pep it up" a bit more without having to remove the cat. Any help would be appreciated ![]() Lotus Elise SC - Collecting 1st April |

Offline | hi Neil, you can either do it in situ using pipe cutters,or remove and use a hacksaw. Either we or any exhaust centre can fit for you . It only fits stock MCS exhausts, but can be used in conjunction with aftermarket manifold/cats as thatr is further forward. Regards Roland Gt Tuning ![]() |

| The Naughtiest of Birds | Hi Roland - my boyfriend bought a reroute pipe from you in March for my 54 plate MCS which didn't fit. The pipe should be winging its way back to you and looking forward to receiving the modified pipe very soon. Nice product, can't wait to use it - eventually! |

| The Naughtiest of Birds | Thanks Roland - you're a star. Everyone at GTT has been really ace with advising my b/f on your products. I've got your cold air RAM induction kit too - very impressed. Plus, the welding on the pipe was mint too - very high quality. Look forward to receiving the new pipe whenever. Thanks x |

Offline | Roland, i've just a couple of questions regarding the pipe :- - Does the silencer wobble about any more now it's only supported on the 1 side? - Does it help improve throttle response as well as sound? Hope these questions make sense. In regard to question 2, I understand this isn't like fitting a complete performance exhaust, but I wondered what benefits a standard 05 MCS would get. Thanks ps I couldn't access the Mini section of your site |

Offline | Thanks N .Magpie. Dino. No wobble, as the remaining box is still supported either side by rubber hanger mounts. I think on any Mini it will always be a little quicker ,as weight is the enemy. Throttle response does seem a bit better,I think it will be as good as any replacement system. For maximum power gains the GTT Cat /Manifold will always be the better option,(costs more though) either on its own or with the Re-Route Pipe. Best Regards Roland Gt Tuning ![]() |

| The Naughtiest of Birds | FYI, I've now fitted my reroute pipe with the casualties of 1 x scuffed knuckle and an inch deep cut on Scotts thumb. Ow. The pipe sounds phenomenal, near constant popping and banging (good banging!) and the throttle response is a smidgen quicker. People crane their necks to figure out why a little teeny MINI is making so much noise. It's lovely! Definitely worth the money a hundred times over. A bargain at £80 odd. |
