New GT Tuning 'Posh Mini' Styling Parts !!!

Hi Guys ,thought Id come out of the Performance Forum and let you know whats coming up on the styling front.
In around 4 weeks we will have first batch of the all new Handbrake Grip. It is a slightly bigger,a lot sexier and features a larger solid bronze release button. The grip is CNC turned and Milled from solid aerospace grade alloy. The finish is special in that we copper plate the alloy and mirror polish this before applying the nickel & chrome. This gives the chrome much more depth. We will also offer a satin chrome alternative.
The other item available in around 2 weeks is our gearknob/gaiter/2 piece surround kit.
This includes our beautiful 'Retroslot' gearknob on a slightlty shortened stick to look better & give a quickshift action. A genuine Audi TT gaiter to replace the scruffy OE item,
and a solid Bronze mirror polished Gaiter Surround. This sits on a black spacer ring (also included )to raise the whole assembly for a more sports car appearance & feel.
Will put up pics as soon as we can.

Hey Roland,
looking forward to seeing the gear knob kit....sounds awesome!!!
Any idea of approximate prices for this item?
May add it to my list of things to do together with your 190 bhp package
Cheers,
Matt

Hi Matt,no idea of price yet, there are a number of parts in the kit. For an idea of how it looks (bronze surround & upwards) check out gearknob & surround on our Audi TT website

Thanks for putting up a pic. As the Mini centre console is much lower a 32mm high (black)spacer ring will be produced to raise to the optimum level. The Bronze surround bolts to this ,the allen head bolts being a feature, and clamps the gaiter in sittu.
The bronze release button on the handbrake grip compliments the bronze surround without overkill.

Hey guys,
OK, so I'm not professing to be a Photoshop whizz, and this effort took me about an hour, but if you squint a little......................
Cheers,
Matt
P.S. thanks to Damo for the interior pic

Good work Matt.

Looks good, think I'm also going to have to add it to my list when I pop down next year for the GTT230 upgrade. Love the retro gaitor.

I'm not wanting to upset Roland, or hijack his thread, but here's a pic of a rubber gaiter I have already

Hi Guys, with our design there are 4 things that we wanted to improve on ,this conversion takes care of all in one go;-
1) Gearknob diameter too big
2) gearstick too long (visually and operationally),and too spindly in diameter
3) Leather gaiter looks scruffy & baggy
4) Horrible plastic ( or chromed plastic) gaiter surround.

These are mostly cosmetic issues, the size of the gearknob is exagerated even more by the use of a puny stock handbrake grip with even punier release button.

OBE We could sell individual parts of kit,but dimensionally all parts of the kit are designed together. eg the spindly stick in our genuine Audi TT Quattro gaiter would be very baggy,
Our kit increases diameter of the gearstick as it goes down right into the gaiter.

Roland
I have the ProMINI short shifter. Much beefier than the puny OEM arm. It's at least .625" in Diameter at the base.
