Offline | Try BMWorks. Once they show me that have the parts catalogue loaded into a notebook for the Mini parts. So they have access to all part numbers and they are willing to order. Their price should be cheaper than BMW. But then if it is complicated installation, experience is also another factor that you have to consider apart from cost. And BMW provides you that guarantee. So it depends on what you want to order. BMWorks have in stock for tail lights, etc. yclee Silk Green Black Top MC CVT |

Offline | I've been to BM Works tonight. It seems that they are going to expand by knocking down the wall to the adjacent shop unit. Hope that they can keep more stocks for Minis. BTW, the footrest pedal from Hamann costs HK$1,080 now, much higher than that in December. |

Offline | Hi, Wayne. Long time no see. So you finally can't tolerate the RFT. I have asked around on the tyres. Here are some prices on the 16" : BS S03 $1200 G03 $920 I will check on the Yokohamas (e.g. Advan), Toyo and Falken later today. There are quite a few tyre shops just opposite. I tried on a 206 last Saturday with Toyo R1R and it was quite nice (quiet and good holding). It should be around $700. YC Silk Green Black Top MC CVT |

Offline | YC, thanks for the market update! The price you quoted for Toyo, what size are they? By the way, my car got hit by some careless driver just right in the drive way of my car park last night. The looks of the damage wasn't that bad - the LH indicator light was broken and the damage to a small part of the bumper cover. I took the car to BMW this morning and it quote for $2,800 for a minimum fix - respray of the bumper cover and replacement of the indicator light. For a "big" fix would cost over $7.7K including the replacement of the bumper cover, the bumper carrier. I don't think the careless driver going to be happy! Alan |

Offline | Alan, Is it the front or the back of the car got hit? If it is the back, may be a good excuse to change the lamp unit to the transparent (or white one as some may call it) instead of the red. The Toyo are 16". I'll have more info. in the afternoon. YCLee Silk Green Black Top MC CVT |

Offline | Just got some quotes on the tyres. All are based on 205/50 R16 as that is the size suits me Falken ST115 $650 Toyo R1R $800 Yokohama AD07 $800 (it's a new tyre of the Advan range) Bridgestone G III $920 Bridgestone RE01 $1150 Bridgestone S03 $1100 There are of course other choices such as Yokohama ES100 and BridgeStone GR50, which will also be at the 600-700 range For us Cooper users, as we can't be fast anyway, something like ST115 may be good enough for me, as I can change more often then, just like the case with oil. yclee Silk Green Black Top MC CVT |

Offline | I agreed that ST115 would be enough for MC as I don't think we could fully utilize it in our city driving. I was on an AMG C36 with P-zero 35 series 18" (and of course with a very stiff spring) around the Repulse Bay once, and it felt absolutely awful! The ride was rough and you couldn't enjoy what you are driving. Alan |
