Offline | Derrick thx for the gift! i will get my dad to bring it back to me in July! i heard u r interested in ecu and pulley upgrade? tell us more! i m still deciding whether to go for the Hartge. Waranty is the main concern for me..... but 5k seems a much better deal than 10k of the JCW. also i hv to drive for 10+ hrs to get to Sydney to hv the conversion..... will be going to my first trackday tomorrow (completely stock car). I won't stand a chance against the Skylines and Sti... but wish me luck anyway. hope to learn some tricks from the instructor... will post some pics later. bye and thx again! |

Offline | disdis and Karman, Sorry for late reply. I've just been to the Hartge dealer this afternoon and asked them to do the engine upgrade for my MCS, they seem not willing to do it. I don't know whether they don't have the skill or knowledge to do it or not, but the impression to me was so bad. Disdis, can you get the kit for me in Aussie? And I don't think it is a complicated job. BTW, how was your track day?? I really want to join you someday!! Karman, How are you getting on in US? Have you order your MCS yet? Next time when you two come back, you can join us with the new Mini meeting, I promise you will enjoy a lot. Get up early, youngman!! Derrick. |

Offline | haha...bad luck with the Harge people. sounds like they dont know how to fit the mini kit... anyway, were u asking me to order the kit in Oz for u?? two problems: 1) its much cheaper if u order directly from Harge-Germany+ the exchange rate is not favourable. 2) dont think they will only sell the hardware ALONE since the shop is not a Hartge store- they r just a authorised Hartge dealer who does Hartge conversions for BM. So they only earn $$ by fitment and labour costs. As with the trackday, it was utterly fantastic! plan to do another one later in the yr! So much more enjoyable and (more importantly) SAFER to drive to ur limit on the track rather than on the streets. but my tyres and brakes wont last very long though..... check the Australian forum page for more info! |

Offline | Derrick, maybe it's better to go for JCW than Harte as exchange rate is more favourable for pounds than Euro right now. Plus if you go for Harge, you probably lost your warranty. YCLee Silk Green Black Top MC CVT |

Offline | Hi Derrick, Thanks for your regards, I am doing fine in NYC. Have been busy with work for the past few months, besides that I have been keeping up with my general car enthusiasm by coordinating some fun events with some friends over in the M5 messageboard. There are a lot of MCSes in the states now, so much so that my feelings for it have tapered off a bit. As you know owning a car in Manhattan is very costly, so I don't think I will purchase a car in the near term as my commute to work is convenient by subway. So time will tell, if I do return to HK, a MCS purchase will definitely be in order! I went to a BMW charity drive event today and got to test out the Z4. I posted a mini review about the experience, feel free to read about it here: http://www.bmwm5.com/vbulletin/showt...669#post314669 Hope all is well with you and everyone I met in our meeting during the Chinese New Year (click here to bring back some memories). Keep in touch! Regards, Karman |

Offline | Actually S-03 is cheaper than RE-01 in Hong Kong right now. Reason is due to too much parallel importing for S-03. (from Thailand or Philipines, not recommended as the compound is different and not suitable for HK). Personal feeling is RE01 is more suitable for Mini. YCLee Silk Green Black Top MC CVT |

If u r NOT ordering stuff from Mini-Madness for urself, then dont worry about it. since i dont plan to install it until end of yr together with the exhaust. i can order later. many thx! heard u hv a trackday in China coming up! U will be addicted to it.... but its so $$$$. In Oz, i only paid about HKD <2000 for a full track day! ![]() |
