Hong Kong New MINI Club Hong Kong Special Spark Plug Offer

For All New MINI Club Hong Kong member,

Thanks to Ken206, the club is now able to offer DENSO Iridium Spark Plugs at HK$80/ piece (normal retail at around HK$120 to 150 per piece). The Spark Plug will fit all MINI Coopers except the diesel model (If you have a diesel model in Hong Kong, please let us know). For member who is interested, please PM me. The plugs can be picked up in Mongkok.

FYI, many members has tried the spark plugs and they find the engine has a better response with the plugs installed. Using conjunction with high performance plug wires like Magnecor will give even better performance.

Nelson

Hi Adam,
For the Denso iridium spark plugs, you just simply plug them in, no other adjustment required!

I think I may be the only unlucky one with the denso plug… I have been suffered with the low rev and near to stall problems in the past (even with the software upgrade), and the Mini center finally found the problem was due to the denso plug I had for the car. After replacing the denso with the stock NGK plug, the car seems to kill the near to stall problem. May be, there were defects with my denso!

I just put in the spark plug on Monday, and it is wonderful !! cause I find my car run faster than before. I hard know there is a change for replacing the air filter and spark plug wire, but after I put in the spark plug, Woo!! Zoom ! Zoom !

I did the oil change + sparkplugs at the same time. I found it smoother - but wasn't sure if it was the plugs or the oil change.

One thing i did notice was my gas mileage dropped like crazy - getting on 250 km a tank.

But then it could also be my fault as I was chasing Marshall up Peak Road. on Sat. night

Did you gap them before installation? DENSO's come at .044 and should be gapped to .032 for use on the MINI

As I let my garage install them as I watched - they just screw them in. How do you gap them ? Thanks
