Black Cooper Aerokit

Hi all,
I just ordered a MINI. I haven't decided the color yet but I want to add aerodynamic package. But the one from MINI is quite expensive ~$16500 + 35% tax. Do you think I should look for other source? Any good recommendation? Thanks

Regards,
Domhk

Hi Domhk,
Welcome to the Mini2 discussion group!
BMW offered a special deal for that aero kit sometime ago at $12,500 fitted, but I'm not sure whether they'll offer this deal again. Please check out the "Shatin Body & Paint Ctr Visit" thread. You might be able to find some special deals there.
Cheers,
Hubert

thanks for all the recommendation.
I personally prefer either BRG or Cosmo Black.
BTW, I find one called BM works. They have a number of choice offered. Anyone knows whether that shop is good or not?

Rumors say Indi Blue will be replaced by another darker blue in Summer 2004.
Maybe a good news for Indu Blue owners??

If you can spare the time on the 29th, the club (new HK Mini) is going to organize a BBQ in the afternoon and you will be able to see all the colors and aerokit before you make up your mind.
Personally I dealt with BMWorks before on installation of the rear stabilizer (MCS style). They have picked up quite a lot of experience on Mini now and I heard they have a good collection of Aerokits, including one just imported from Japan and the price is about the same. You can also check with TWauto and hkminiparts.com and see their choices.

I think you can get the Aerokit at around $12500. BMTech mentioned above is one of the shops you can find accessories for Mini. TWAuto is another one. And the web site www.hkminiparts.com also got some accessories too.
As for tax, HK won't charge you anything. But you have to find a good reason to the Aussie government for exemptions.

I am not sure if BMTech & TWAuto has any websites. BMTech is in Wong Tai Sin and TWAuto is in To Kua Wan. If you can any Chinese edition of car magazines such as "Car & Driver", etc., you will see their ads.
Hong Kong doesn't have much space but we still manage to find some rural areas in N.T., to drive about.

Thanks, Allen. BMTech was the one to service my BMW when I was in Melbourne!
Somehow it is the old age that makes me get things confused.
And the Iridium spark plugs are a must for the CVT, with proper gapping.

how much is it roughly to get the spark plugs?
proper gapping what do u mean by that.
then u might need to have the air filter and exhaust to boost up the performance as well

The Denso Iridium spark plugs are around HK$300-400 for a set. I bought mine sometime ago and the price has dropped since then.
The gap should be .032" The original gap seems to be a bit wider than this.
Yes, I had the K&N filter and the exhaust changed. They are wonderful.
