Hi all,
Nanster's cheap mods section two:
Cheap video gadgets with Ipod.
Camera mount from Chasecam.com=$45.00
Sony Cybershot digital cam=$200-300(everyone should have one already)
Ipod=200-300
Belkin iPod Media Reader=$70 on ebay
Memorystick 256=$75.00 ebay

Instructions:
Play the ipod in the MINI(techno! recommanded)
Switch the digicam in Video mode on the cammount.
Doing track-day all day and take exciting video clips and pictures.
Put the Memory stick into the media reader and transfer video clip into Ipod.
Record another Video. and another, and....
Go home and dock the Ipod.
Load Video into Imagestation(free)
Show to everyone around the world!

I've been told to hold off the ipod for a bit - apparently generation 4 is on it's way and it's got a LCD display.

But i tell you it was hard walking away from the apple store without buying one

G-4 could be pretty cool since there are so much more new techs in the market.

on the other hand, we can never catch the top of line products, they just come and go way too fast.
for years i have learned, live with what you choosen and enjoy it. i used to get really depressed when i see new product come out with lower price and better quality!!

I was in the apple store for 30mins installing an air port card. Every few mins I would ask the salesman about the ipod. Come to think about it was a salesman's ploy to see when i would break and buy the ipod. Damn better not walk in there again for while

you could start from a Ipod mini.
when the new one come out just sell it on ebay.
as long as you keep it clean and no damage it is pretty easy to get a good deal out of it.
Of course as long as they do not come out another ipod mini! haha!

BTW, how's the air port work? friend of mine been asking me to buy one for her, i wanna know if it really work well before i go for other brands.

If i'm gonna get in S@@T for buying another gadget might as well wait for the newest model. In the meantime the money goes to Mini Mods that the wife can see


The Air Port is pretty good - of course we use it in an office in enviorment - but check out the Air port express - apparently that's a pretty good alternative too.

that's the one friend of mine ask for.
but since they have in HK, i can just ask them to buy from there.

i kind of fall behind with those tech stuff. maybe i'm getting old! haha!

Save the money for Mods, it is a wise choice! my next project will be a cheap wheel. so i can get ride of my oem 17". they suck on autoX.

Keep me updated on the new G-4 ipod. I might do a exchange if they are really cool enough to get me!(or my money)! haha!

After getting back from Japan - i've changed my mind - Gonna wait for the new sony to get here

I thought the Sony one doesn't play MP3 format, I might be wrong though.

No it works on all MINIs.

Can't be sure as the website in Japanese list as MP3*2 on it.

Gabe - your link shows a different one model than the one I was talking about. But then again with Sony products they probably protect everything.

Does anyone know if the new ipod connector will work on uk/ireland mini's with just the wave head unit?

I asked the dealership and he said the connector would only work with us minis???

I find it hard to believe.

Anyone know any better.

Just guess how much is it, please make your cheque ready for USD 1000. (don't forget extra batteries, extra beautiful carry bag and extra high quality head set) I will be more than happy to have you be my customer data base. Honestly, please don't buy it until the third generation. trust me!
