Offline | Just ripped mine out I just removed mine from our '06. As an armrest it's not bad but I just found that it was always in the way, either up or dowm. We have an auto tranny, I can't imagine how anyone with a manual stick could put up with one. I pull my seat back pretty far, and in the upright position I was always bumping into it with my elbow while buckling my seatbelt, and it interfered with the lumbar adjustment. If you have to have an armrest it's probably one of the better ones out there, I just didn't like mine from day 1... |

Offline | I'm thinking of getting one of these and am somewhat concerned by these comments!! Is this the same for everyone who has one? I'm quite a lazy driver who likes to rest my arm on an armrest in between shifting. Will this be ok for me? PS. I'm not a shortarse either - 6' 3'' ![]() |

Offline | it's acceptable Yes, it works well for resting between shifting, but not during shifting. I have long arms and cannot rest and shift at the same time (like I could in previous Japanese cars.) I do like being able to rest when not shifting. So, yes I like it for this feature and will keep it. As for storage, it's ridiculous. Maybe holds a small pad of paper and some pens. It also feels like it's going to break whenever you do try to open it. And it does get in the way of the lumbar adustment and the seat back adjustment, regardless of whether it is up or down. Makes it nearly impossible to adjust the seat while driving. Best done while stationary. It also gets in the way of the rear cup holder. Not an issue for me, might be an issue for others. |

Offline | I am 6' 2'' and a bit of a fata#@e actually and would highly recommend the armrest to anyone. very nice when cruising along. I had a lend of a car from the dealer which didn't have an armrest and I couldn't believe how much I missed it Paul |
