Got an ice link plus fitted to my radio boost 05 head unit. The only thing is,,, thought that the song names came onto my head unit, no?

Also,,, when i plug in my ipod video it comes up with the dension logo and ok to dissconect but doesn't play???

Any ideas regarding any of these q's?

Cheers, Ben

It will display the track details on the head unit but you *might* need to update your firmware to do this. You'll need to go into the menu (hold down '6' until its displayed) and then theres an option to enable the text ...I've forgotten the exact options but that's roughly how you do it.

oh and as for the denison logo you need to press the mode button until it changes to cd changer, thats the mode you use for the icelink.

Press CD 6 and you should get a menu appear on the iPod, navigate to setup and you can enable CD text, track names will then scroll on the head unit, and the iPod menu will also switch to the head unit.

Only seems to play songs..........

Well it won't play video will it ? That's tantamount to watching TV while your driving, illegal and not available with the ice link, same reason you can't scroll on the pod when its docked.

This sounds like a similar problem to which I have, occasionally and quite frequently to head unit will go into a strange mode where it will display CD 01-99, where 01 is the playlist number. At this point I cannot access the menu on the ipod by pressing 6 on the headunit and nothing seems to fix it but it carries on playing although you can't change the song. I have tried turning off the headunit, unplugging the ipod, pressing 6 but nothing works. This morning I gave up trying and it did eventually return to normal again but WHY?

CD1TR99 indicates that the ice>Link Plus is in aux input mode, i.e. it has lost communications with the iPod. Typically caused by cable routing between the ice>Link Plus PCB and the cradle, usually with the cable being pinched by trim.

On my set up the cable is routed into the glove box with the cable loose and not pinched as far as I can tell and the problem is intermittent, could it be a bad connection on the IceLink port for the cable or even a duff cable?

Yes. Try taping the dock cable to the PCB. If that does not resolve the issue, contact your reseller for warranty.

Do you not have the documentation????? You use next/prev track to move the cursor up/down the menu and FF/RW (long press of next/prev) act as enter/escape.
