| Loui The Mini Dude | Hi, i've just bought some leather front seats, they're like new, mint condition! However for some reason the drivers seat won't stay up-right. The button on the side won't resolve this either? The seat just won't adjust/move. Anyone else had this problem, i've just paid £300 quid for them Any help would be much appreciated!Lewis. |

| Loui The Mini Dude | I bought them off ebay, item described as new. Paid my company driver to travel all the way to kent to pick them up so even if I do decide to return them im still 100-150 quid down Any idea how to repair the lock or how to get to it? Hopefully won't be too much of a pain to repair. Gutted ![]() |

Offline | Take the plastic cover off the back, it just pulls off (carefully so as not to break the connectors) and you should see the mechanism at the bottom. Check all is in order. Or just fit them and take it back to the dealer under warranty ![]() ![]() ![]() just don't mention that they're not original seats ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | Hi, I had this problem when my drunken mate ruined the seat and it locked in place. My solution was to push the handle down and while sat in the chair push back towards the top of the seat (using feet pushing in footwell) and eventually it went crack and has been fine ever since... it wasn't a 'breaking' crack but more of a freeing of something stuck crack! Anyway feel free to try unless no-one has a better idea. Oh... better idea posted while i was typing this LOL |

Offline | I bought some leather seats also off e-bay and they have a wire that connects to mech underneath and on one seat it had become detached so when you use handle on side its not doing what its supposed to do!! were the rails and seatbelts still attached as this also need to be checked as mine I had to swap over from the cloth seats that were in the car!! when rails are removed you have to be careful to retension them so that they slide back & forth correctly |
