Mystery Dash Object

What is that on top of the dash, above the speedo? Is it some kind of speed device. Looks integrated

It's a shifter light which you can programme to tell you when you're nearing a chosen upshift point (when under the stress of racing!)

No wonder its in clearance..... if you need a light to tell you when to change gear then you been to drive more to learn to feel what the cars doing.

I think you're missing the point here... Its a race thing, flashes when you approach the shift point when driving flat out, saves you taking your eyes off the road.

As sported on all F1 steering wheels, and I think those guys know when to change gear
