England new recaro seats for mini

has anyone seen the new recaro seats for the mini? they are not the jcw seats but are kind of like the current sports seats but slightly different shape all round the top and the sides, much stiffer and really hold you in place with stiff supports! they also have the front lumbar pull out extension thingy midgig aswell very nice alternative to the works seats.

Yes, the Works seats can be a royal pain in the ass. I had to lose a 2 stone to get them to fit comfortably - which is good as I had piled on the pounds anyway.

The JCW Works seats are definatly more biased to track use than these recaros - although I think the recaros are better option than JCW for actually living with....

so, can I get some details on these - are they available to all currently, and the cost etc, or are they with 'new cars' only - whats the score....?

I think the seats that are coming on the new GP are the same.

You can spec these in your build online..

I was tempted, but they add about £1500 to the price, reason, they only come in leather, so you have to spec full leather, plus they're heated, so you have to spec heating !!!

If you could just order the seats alone, I probably would have had them.

Dread to think how much a dealer fit would cost....

Works seats are made by Sparco not Recaro
