Question Door Reflectors...red or white??..why??

The reflectors on my interior door panels are white yet most of the pictures on the site show red ones.....why is this??

just being curious and not especially concerned.

Thanks

Cooper S ones are white, Cooper and One are Red.

the MINI has gone...

Hmmm... dunno which would look better, white or red. Red is more subtle but then white is... err... white.

Mine's red too but I think the white goes with the silver trim on the door better

Plus it's like clear lenses inside as I've already said

the MINI has gone...

I wondered why mine were white. Didn't give it much thought. What a strange thing to change from the MINI Cooper to the S.

I thought it was also funny that the Cooper S key has a metal MINI logo but the Cooper doesn't.
Amazing they would go to that effort to have 2 part numbers for interchangeable keys...

Really? We bought a second remote key ($wow$) and it just has a raised rubber logo. The key that came with the car has the metal MINI logo as a button. The metal one is mine!

So I wonder why they didn't order us an S key? Who cares, it unlocks and starts the car...

Edit: Okay, the 'metal' is just a sticker anyways.

Just looks like a regular silver mylar sticker, like those birthday balloons, or a bag of chips (packet of crisps).

About $180 after tax. (Which is the same as US$100, but awful none the less.)

I'm not truly sure, as I paid for the rubber mats, cargo net, extra remote key and anti-theft device all at the same time. As I remember, I got hosed on the key, bargain on the mats, hosed on the boot liner, bargain on the boot net, and good price on the anti-theft. When I added it all up, it seemed reasonable... Within $10 of running around myself and getting it all from different places.

The key is very expensive, and we've learnt all too well that we can't share. We both said we wouldn't spend $200 on a key, but then neither of us would take the key without the button.

I'm not sure about european laws, but the reflectors on the doors aren't even necessary here, so anything is better than nothing.

An Extra key costs around 75 EUR. And from the model update 2005 all MINI´s have new key design with all an aluminium MINI logo button to lock (NO, not unlock) the car.
