Offline | Certainly do, they seem extremely comfortable - spent 5 hours in them last bank holiday tootling around the countryside getting the car run in, and was like being in a comfy sofa. Also lightens the interior if your going for full leather, and added advantage of wipe clean in a convertible ![]() |

Offline | Well I'd hate to say it, but it seems that Recaros are a bit of a rip off. I visited their website today to choose electric seats for my mini and found that they are all Leather and Imitation leather. I gather from this that the outsides are real leather and the part you sit on is imitation. IMHO the price that they are asking for imitation leather is a bit steep. Also imitation leather definately doesn't last as long as the real stuff. After all, I don't see too many cows around wearing imitation skin. |

Offline | Ozzy, I've had the recaros since september 05 they do seem to hold their shape better than the standard sports seats in leather. mine have some minor creasing, the light grey does get quite dirty though, but a quick clean with autoglym leather cleans soon sorts it. I'll post some pics tomorrow. Recaros are a great option with really good support, i would be reluctant to drive a MINI without them now. I like the fact that the're factory fit and good quality, be nice to have additional colour options and have them mounted slightly lower. |

Offline | Drove an MCS with the recaro seats yesterday at the level 2 mini driving course at Phillip Island..........they are a LOT more comfortable than the normal sports seats......still felt relaxed after lots of hard driving....they really hold you in on corners and support your back.......also sat in a cabrio which had JCW seats which felt even better but did not do any driving in that........just wondering how much it would cost me to switch my two front seats....... |

Offline | Here's the photos taken this evening. Looking at the creasing it only seems to be on the left side of the seat, maybe from pushing the clutch pedal down? no sign of the bagginess that appears on the standard seats. I think the shape of the standard seats is not ideal for a leather covering with the main surfaces being a kind of concave shape in all directions. i remember seeing one of the first, a cooper with the profile leather, that was pretty loose fitting even before it had been used. Mine is fairly low mileage at 7.5k but i doubt it will get much worse. the backrest is almost as new and the side bolster seem to be resisting the shine that came on quite quickly on my first cooper. If you're thinking about the Recaros go for it, the've made a great car even better ![]() |
