Offline | Mfsw! Hi, Ive just bought a MFSW for my MCS and need to get a wiring harness for it, does anyone know the part number i require and if the only place i can get it is BMW? Also does anyone know how hard is it to fit and whether i would be able to get an aftermarket blutooth phone kit to work through the steering wheel buttons? Any info on this would be great! |

Offline | If you search you'll find that the part number has been posted in a previous thread, there may even be a FAQ on retrofitting the MFSW. Not too hard to fit, although that depends as always on your level of ability - "hardness" of a job can and is very subjective. Yes you can get a bluetooth kit working through the buttons, most common one is the Parrot kit that is sold and installed if you wish by Mikey of www.newministuff.com |

Offline | This will need to be done by your local dealer, which can be anything from free (if you are having other work done or have a very nice service manager) to about £35 |

Offline | Apparently not ![]() Coding - some of the coding is just so the car knows whether a certain thing is present (for example, my car always fails coding for the radio, since the stock one has been replaced, but of course it has no effect on anything). I'd suggest trying it once installed - maybe it'll work, maybe not. As for the two/three spoke steering wheel ... logic suggests the wiring won't be different. But logic doesn't always apply. |
