Offline | bemini, Do you mean lacquer? Is the paint you are using the right stuff for plastic, or whatever it is the dash is made of? I'm no expert, but paints are different dependant on the application. Paints for metal may not stick to plastics. If it is a suitable paint then I would guess the paint is sliding of the dash finish, and needs more rubbing down. Good luck with it. |

Offline | Is the primer you used the same brand as the paint, and recommended for use with the type paint you are spraying? Remember, the first coat of paint should be thin enough to see through. Let us know how it goes. ![]() |

Offline | was there any dashboard cleaner on it? this causes a reaction if you don't get it all off,the dash is already painted shouldn't need a primer.iv colour coded mirrors for people before and found plastic dressings like back to black etc cause this.let the paint dry rub down again(being careful not to go to far through or you will need primer)then clean with pre paint(panel wipe)and start again. |

Offline | sounds like the panels need cleaned with thinners or panel. a lot of polishes have silicon in them which will react with paint - you need to make sure there is no silicon about at all. think id strip them completely and clean with thinners. also make sure your primer/paint/laquer is all the same type i.e. 2pack or otherwise. |
