Stock Mini CD Player

Hey, i'm looking to buy a stock BMW Mini CD Player to replace my tape deck (have tape/disc changer set up). I'm wondering what the story is with the flat connectors and checking compatiblity- i have a 2004 prefacelift S- will any stock CD player fit?? Any advice much appreciated!

Depends if your tape is wave or boost.
If it is boost then any mini cd will fit
If you have cassette wave then you will need a harness adaptor & cd prep adaptor here

If your not sure what radio you have check out the faq at www.newministuff.com

Hi Mick,
There was a Boost Cd in FOR SALE recently but I think it's gone.

I have a Boost CD player that would be willing to sell. It is the Alpine and it is from my 06, so it does MP3's as well. PM me if you are interested.

Cheers for the replies and advice! I have a Wave set up so it looks like its getting expensive- with adapters and then the actual unit it looks like it will cost as much as a new sony headunit in the shops. And I eckopn an aftermarket Sony headunit is more desirable on resale so i think i'll head that route....Cheers!!

Yes it can.... I spent 200 Euro just to get a radio that would enable TMC on my NAV! However, in Germany, TMC and NAV work well together and it has already had me avoid more than one German stau.
