Offline | I think you need the MK4 (DVD) nav in order to add the speed cameras, but I may be wrong. The camera locations are very up-to-date, but, as mentioned on my site, this is solely down to Pocket GPS World and nothing to do with the MINI's sat nav in any way. I believe Pocket GPS World update the database at least once per month. |

Offline | And for 20 quid a year, it's absolutely brilliant - for anyone thinking of signing up. It's incredibly accurate and has known mobile camers spots on too. Any you see that aren't in the database (haven't found any wrong 'uns yet) you can upload to help everyone else........ ![]() ![]() "He fell for her like his heart was a mob informant, and she was the East River." |

| MINI2 Regular | i'd like to get the speed cameras done on my sat nav but im totally useless when it comes to tech stuff. i dont suppose anyone could walk me through it? i managed to get my sat nav onto 3d perspective thanks to the help of DaFlake but now i'd like to see about getting the cameras added too. Another thing i like the idea of is getting my mini on the sat nav like this... MINI COOPER :: North American Motoring - Drive Your Very Own MINI On The Factory Nav Screen! I dont suppose anyone has done that too? and could help me sort mine out. If possible i'd like to get it so the mini on the screen is a grey one with white roof (same as my mini) i've got a guy at work who could probably do me the graphic but wasnt sure how to implement it (or if the grey one had already been done by someone else?) any ideas? |

Offline | The latest map disc is 2008-1, so you're quite out of date there! In terms of firmware, the latest is v30, so again, you're quite out of date there. To answer the question you PM'd me, I believe perspective functionality wasn't introduced until v27, so you'll need to update if you want it. If you need any help with doing so, just let me know. ![]() |

Offline | Last Resort for removing stuck CD after failed upgrade Hope this is not considered a change of subject but not sure which thread is relevant, but I did experience the problem whilst trying to upgrade to V31. I have just managed (much to my relief !) to remove a CD that refused all other methods of ejecting - button pressing, switching on/off, waiting 3 minutes etc etc. It worked for me but you try it at your own risk!!! With the ignition in position 1, gently prise downwards to open the flap of the CD/DVD slot. Check that the CD is spinning and insert a suitable flat or thin piece of plastic and push down onto the CD to stop it - when it stops immediately press the EJECT button and out it pops! The CD is label side up so you do not damage the surface, but then it was toast anyway... I used a mirror and torch to see what I was doing and after working out every movement was reversed it wasn't too difficult. It saved removing the label and invalidating the warranty and took less than a minute once I had sorted out the procedure. Hope this will help someone if they get as desperate as I was ! ! | I miss my MINI | Go here.. V31 has been released and is now available - X5world Download V31 and burn it to a CD using mode 2. Then, just pop it in the nav system and let it update. Pretty easy really. Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | Putting my mini on sat nav I have the latest software update (V31) and a new DVD on my Mini. I have downloaded some TIE Fighter icon and replaced the standard ones on my car. I followed the guide on page 5 of this forum and wrote the new navboot file to a cd. It updated with no problems but my Icons are still the normal arrow, what am I doing wrong here? |
