DIY Multi Function steering wheel

I am thinking of purchasing a Multi function steering wheel, does anyone think this is a good price for parts and fitting, £225 plus VAT.

Hi pcoyne and welcome to MINI2!!

If thats £225 parts and labour inclusive then it is a fairly good deal yes! I investigated having the MFSW retrofitted into my Cooper with a 3 spoke steering wheel, and the labour cost of around 3 hours didn't really make it worth while.

Let me know who's doing it for that as I'd be interested

Once again, welcome!

Sounds like a very good price all in, I thought the parts alone were much more than that. Let us know if it happens

I asked Robert Stern in Worcester for a quote to get cruise control retro fitted. They quoted me £700 all in. That included the MFSW, as I dont currently have one on the car. I decided not to bother.

The dealer ship

It was Mill BMW in Sunderland who quoted that price.

Do we know which years and what hassle it is to fit the 3 spoke multi to cars?

If it's £225+VAT for parts and labour, do it! I think I was quoted more than this for the parts alone. As others have suggested, it should be around £700 fitted at BMW labour charges!

Sounds to me like someone has quoted you on just the wheel and not a retrofit kit.

Very expensive retrofit (I had it done on my first MINI and it cost me well ovr £600) and bitg labour time.
