IceLink Plus upgrade - 2B3

Hi all,

I just updated my IceLink Plus to 2B3 in the hope the sat-nav display might be better - no such luck. It remains annoyingly so close yet so far from useable

No bad side effects from the upgrade - according to the release notes it fixes some bugs with the 5G UI navigation.

I got the files here: http://www.tomtek.de/

One thing - no matter what I uplloaded to the iPod (4GB Nano using iTunes 7) I could not get the upgrade menu item to show as explained in the Dension upgrade pdf (available from their densiounusa site). In the end I simply went to the UPDATE playlist and manually selected the start_update mp3. Seemed to work fine then and only took about 3 mins.

I put a couple of screenshots here: rakh1

Hope that helps - Rich

How did you get a digital speed read out on your Sat Nav that I saw in your picture? I have v27 installed on mine but it doesnt do that, am I missing something in the menu's?
Cheers

I presume you are referring to the 80mph tag at the lower right corner. This is the limiter set in the cmoputer menu options. If I hit 80mph it bings at me and flashes. It is not a speed readout

Ah ok, that makes sense as I don't use the limiter. Would be nice if BMW added the current speed to the Sat Nav though, surely it wouldn't be too hard to do as most other GPS systems can do it. Never mind. Version 29 ?

With the text selector is it possible to just have the text on the head unit and not on the Nav screen as well?

When i select the CDx on the head unit for just the head unit, it comes up on the nav screen as well.

Any ideas??

What a shame. I got really excited when I saw this thread. Oh well, the wait goes on for a fix for us factory nav users!
