Adding Full GB Postcode Search to TomTom SatNavs

If you`ve got a Tomtom Satnav device that will only let you input partial GB Postcodes then Read On.
Although most Tomtoms bought new in the last year have the Full 7 Digit Postcode search inbuilt within their program, most older devices will only let you input a 4 or 5 Digit Postcode, which generally means you will still be lost if you dont know the Full address.

This upgrade has been available from Tomtom for some time, but they seem to have decided not to Publicise it too much, possibly hoping people would just go & buy a newer Model.
So Here it is ... The Full 7 Digit Postcode upgrade for the following Tomtom Devices

TomTom Go
Pocket PC
Palm Handheld
TomTom Rider
TomTom One
TomTom Mobile

I`ve just upgraded my SPV C500, {It even asked what model of phone it is going to be used on}, & it now automatically offers the full postcode search facility when inputting a destination. See Pics below.

Installation instructions
Download & Unzip File
Take memory card out of Tomtom device & insert into a Cardreader connected to your PC
Launch Program & Follow all instructions
{It should only take a couple of minutes to upgrade your tomtom card}
Put card back into Device
Go find Yourself

Followed your instructions fine for upgrading to full postcode search, but their manual says you find this from the Navigate to: second screen. It is actual from the Navigate to:address screen where it always was, only now you get a full 7 digit search and not the old 4 digit one. Took me 24 hours to figure that one out. Must be getting slower!

Thanks anyway. Anyone advise on whether the upgrade to new UK map from ver 390 is worth it?
