as a new mini owner am wondering why my interior light doesnt come on when a open the doors have looked in the owners manual but didnt read anything any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Press and hold the interior light button for a few seconds until it lights - this restores it to normal operation. If you press and hold it again for a few seconds it stops it working (and footwell lights + door flood lights if you have them).
