Offline | Really you do only need one amp to run two subs and a set of components. Heres arun down of my system: Headunit - Kenwood PSW MP3 unit Front speakers - Infinity reference components Back - stock mini 6x9`s turned off Sub - Rockford Fosgate HE Amp - Rockford Fosgate 400A4. The amp that i have got could run four of those subs off two channels bridged, never tried it though. Two subs will be a lot and will probably over power the front speakers. Your better off buying the best quality equipment and the best amp you can afford as this would be loud anyway. One sub is loud two just tends to make things rattle more and plus to get a really hike in SPL you need to Quadruple the orginal amount of subs. On the equipment front look at all the American barnds eg Rockford, Kicker, US Amps, Lanzer, Infinity, JL etc, and also look at Alpine |

| Test thread infiltrator | Ok... to power all that nicely with one amp, you'll want a 5 or 6 channel amp. This 5 channel would be a good cheap one: Alpine MRP-F320 £199.99 from www.cel-direct.co.uk 4x40w RMS + 1x120w RMS. This would work best if you weren't spending too much on the speakers. Kenwwod KAC-PS650D £449.99 from cel-direct. 4x80w RMS + 1x200w RMS. This would suit better quality speakers. However, you don't have to use just one amp. I'm running fronts and rears amped with a subwoofer and use two amps. One 4 channel for the f/r's, and one amp dedicated for the sub. Depending on what sub/s you're using, anything from this £200 Rockford 200.1 amp (1x200RMS) to a monster like this Pheonix Gold QX900.1 (900w RMS) daddy, at £450. Personally, I'm using a kicker 2 channel amp (bridged) for my subwoofer. For my fronts/rears, I'm using a Kenwood 4 channel amp pushing out 4x100w RMS... it's a bit of an oldie, but it's reliable. Hope that shows a few options... Dom |
