Offline | JCW Seats....the journey Hello all, I have now got my front cloth JCW seats after a loverly trip to Holland. A coluple of questions for the experts: Whats the process of fitting the seats? Is there any problems with the airbags for example? Has anyone seen the rear JCE cloth seats? Has anyone any pictures? Cheers guys and gals, Carly |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | The JCW seats have no airbags in them. Some require a little blank off piece for the airbag wires from the floor to stop the light illuminating on the dash. Some have wiring in the seat that needs to be connected up but, again, is only there to stop the light coming on. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

Offline | To my knowledge my current seats do not have built in airbags....I assume though that the JCW seats will enable the steering wheel and passenger airbag to be activated still via a wiring loom harness point? Help!!! |

| MINI2 Master | The seats just bolt on to the mechanism from your existing seats, and then to the floor of the car (for which a torque wrench and new bolts are a good idea). The seats do not have side airbags like the originals do, but do not effect the operation of the wheel and passenger bags. Having fitted the seats you will either have to have a resisto fitted to the seat airbag electrical connector to fool the system into thinking the that the airbag is still present, or pay someone to reset the relevant ecu. HTH. |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | All standard MINI seats have airbags in them. MINI's have four airbags as standard plus an optional two head airbags for tin top models. When you take your seats out you'll see the wires that run up from the middle of the floor. If you don't have a resistor, or the wiring under the seat in place, then you'll get an airbag light come on when you turn the ignition. This disables all the airbags and can only be reset by BMW or with expensive software. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |
