Icelink Plus not working after battery disconnect

I had to disconnect the car battery to charge it. After connecting it again my Ipod is not playing. I have unplugged the Ipod and plugged it back in again, switched the head unit on and off but no luck. The Dension logo does not appear on the Ipod screen. Ipod battery is fully charged and it worked perfectly before the battery disconnect. It is a bit difficult to get to the Icelink PC board to unplug it but I thought a battery disconnect would have the same resetting effect on the PC board/wafer? Please help

Will try tonight after work. Had to put the battery in and connect it this morning before work so there was no time to play around. Between disconnect and reconnect is there a minimum time required before reset takes place?
