Ditching brushed aluminium trim?

Looking at ditching my brushes aluminium trim for something that looks better. I quite like the look of the anthracite and silver coloured dash and trim parts?

Has anyone mixed and matched these? I think all anthracite would be too dark so I want to keep some silver trim.

Suggestions and pics please? I've looked through the trim gallery

I don't know if you are referring to the new R56 MINI, or the older R50-R53, but I removed all the Alloy Patina dash panels in my R53 Cooper S and had them sprayed to colour match the outside of the car On this basis you can have whatever colour you like and the anthracite looks fabulous if that's what you want.

The downtubes were replaced with black leather covered JCW items)

You are welcome to visit our own site and check the photos out.....

Just to help you out ;)

Hate to hijack a thread but it's a shame for folks to miss out on your pictures

Any image up to 800x600 and 125kb can be attached to a message using the attachments screen. If its above that, easiest to upload it into your MINI2 gallery, and then paste the code link provided.... et voila

Any questions, just ask

Jon

Not too sure either, I've never seen it done; it might look fine. Probably best in anthracite though, I had it in my old Cooper and I loved it Never looked gloomy, always looked classy

The choice was to buy at about £160, or respray for £47! I chose the respray option!

I decided to buy. Think it cost me about £120, however I got about £50 for my old panels so wasn't to bad. Its just a git that the door panels to match are very expensive.

My advice would be to go for anthracite, get the chrome-line interior bits and replace the downtubes with leather ones.

Damo, I really like the piano black thing you've done there.

You only down the road from me, pop over and have a look if you want!

Cheers, Did it as it was cheaper than the JCW leather, but still really fancy the leather with red stitching.
