Hey all!!, TGIF!!

Query on a Mark IV Sat Nav fully updated with 29.1 ( reading 4/1/91 in the sat nav window ). Can you do a postcode search on an address and if so where do you enter it in as i do not have a separate section for it!?..i am running the latest Navteq 2007 CD map and have an old BMW 2005 DVD map spare.

Can anyone let me know where i key in the pscode?.

When you go to Desination Input one of the fields should says City / PC ? (I think). You can enter a city OR a post code there.

Yep i have a city / house number section, can i simply enter a full 7 digit number in there?..

Full Postcode is 2007-2 onwards, so I have been told, still want to clarify though from a member on here if it does indeed work?

Thanks, i have the 2007-2 disk on CD only though not DVD would that make a difference?.
I was expecting a full postcode category much like you have, country, town, house number etc!

? but that would be the firmware update too i guess and i am on the latest version.

That might be true, but with 2007-1 (and indeed 2006-2), if your post code is AB1 2CD, for example, you can input:

AB1 2

Yeah should be the full lot with 2007-2, I think maybe the CD might be different then?
No Firmware upgrade required for this,although I didn't think the latest version went up to V29 on CD?

This guy's got a mk4 so will have v29.1. I think for mk3 systems the latest version you can load is something like v22.

Yep running a mark IV DVD satnav fully updated to v29.1.
I keep hearing that the POSTCODE search function is only available on the latest 2007 - 02 DVD disk, i just want to make sure i get hold of the right disk!!

I've been looking into this too and have been told by several dealers that there isn't a full postcode search on the MINI sat nav? they even contacted MINI to check

might send MINI an email I think

I can't say for definite, but I'm now under the impression that full post code search is not available, even on the 2007-2 disc.

Seems to be a lot of mixed messages as to the availability of full UK postcode search and on what disk!?. Any info would be great !.

I just checked mine and here is what I found.

I have an MK4 with 2007-1 DVD and I have postal search but only when a specific country is selected. If I select Europe, the "PC" goes away. However, I selected Germany and then dialed in my postal code for the house and it came up as an option.

So, yes, it does work.

Here in the uk the Postcode is average 7 digits, at present 2007-1 is only 5 digits, it doesn't give you the road name which can be annoying, especially when there are 2 villages under the same 5th character...

Both.... Data on the disk and the program to access it.
