| MINI2 Newbie | TMC Any Ideas?? Hi This is my first post so sorry if im not in the correct forum and stuff! Just a question about the TMC on the factory Sat Nav. I have a July 2004 Cooper S with the DVD Sat Nav Unit but for some reason have a CD disc in it not the DVD disc. Do you have to have the DVD Disc to get the TMC Updates Because iv tried everything and read other post but still no luck? I have version 28 of the firmware if this helps at all. If any one can help me any suggestions are welcome many thanks rob. |

| I miss my MINI | Do you get the green TMC on the NAV? Here is a pic of mine with the proper radio. That being said, pop a CD in and it should turn green provided you have it turned on. If you have the radio on, you have to have it tuned to a channel that provides TMC. I believe that Classic is your only choice in the UK. With a CD in, it should automatically tune itself to the proper station. If it is not working then you are either not getting the signal or the radio is bad. Global Moderator ![]() |

| I miss my MINI | The radio gets the TMC radio station info from the CD. You might see if you can find someone that has an updated CD or DVD and see if that solves the problem. With the TMC icon turning green, it sounds like the headunit is talking to the NAV so I am not sure at this point. I will tinker with mine today and see what I can find. Global Moderator ![]() |
