Switiching off the Air Bags

Hiya. As my mini is about to go back on the road after been smashed up and now fully repaired.... Is there a way i can have the whole air bag system de activated by BMW? or is this against their rules?

I dont really want to have them activated again, due to the fact that i ahve only replaced the drivers air bag and not the passenger one nor the seat one on the passenger side (stitched the seat back up)!

Hope someone knows!

Cheers,

Andy

It is possible, but you'd have to sign a disclaimer to get them to carry this out, as the seat bags can be switched off for the instalation of JCW seats, the front passenger one for the use of an infact seat, but if you were able to get them to do this have you considered if your insurance company would still cover the car?

I can't understand why you would want this done or why you are looking to take such short cuts and cash savings and risk your life in any future crashes If you've had one crash already then I'd be paying to get it fixed properly rather than bodged!

Its only a forum you know!

Any local tuning company would be able to de activated the system for about 35 pound but i would have agree with Rakey as to why you would want to put your life at risk?

I feel so bad drivin so hard!
