DIY my new stereo won't turn on! pls help!

Hi! I tried to change the stereo today and now the new stereo won't trum on!

At frist I connected all the wire and the new stereo worked fine, so I tried to push it into the slot, but the there was too many wires in there so it won't go in, so I disconnected all the wire and tidy up a little and push it back in, after it go in the new stereo won't turn on! and as the new one won't turn on, I try put the old one back in and it works fine but even I turn the ignition off it still stay on!
does anyone knows what is wrong?do you I think I might have loosen some of the wire when I push it in? or blown some of the fuse?

Di you cut or splice any wires? If you did, you might check the fuses and check to make sure you have it wired correctly.

As Mikey said, it will probably be a blown fuse but something may have caused it. I would check your wires to ensure that nothing is pinched or bare and be very gentle when putting the HU back in. Also, you can reach up through the little door opening at the bottom to help guide the wires out of the way so they don't get pinched.

I checked today and found no fuses are blown,( it looks they are all the same, nice and clean so I assume its not blown!) does it look burn or something if it is? and also I found some wires on the stock plug that connect the stereo might be a little loose( bad contact with the plug/pin on the plug), is there anything I could do to make it good again? do you think that is the problem? maybe I should go to the shop and let the Pro fit it? what's your advice pls?
many thanks!

Not sure what the problem may be at this point without looking at it. If you are near Fromby I would take it to Mikey as he is a MINI specialist.

It may be one of the pins in the adaptor harness has pushed out the back of the plug when you re-connected.

Also most after market headunits have bullit connectors in the stereo loom on the permemant feed and ignition feed to allow for fitment into various cars, check the bullit connectors are still plugged in.

Hope you get it sorted
