Offline | I am looking to delete my seats from my MCS and it was suggested by my local Mini dealer to look into the GP setup(panels, fabric, bar, etc) Is there anywhere to acquire the requisite GP pieces to cover my eventual delete or is this another matter of getting a GP VIN and figuring it out that way. Thanks in advance for any advice, Daniel ![]() |

Offline | Even if you could acquire the parts, fitting them may be difficult without a bit of cutting and welding! The mounting points on the GP body shell are slightly different to a standard MCS! ![]() |

Offline | I'v been looking over cost and such for the past hour now, it would most likely cost around 2k and up, but if i was to order these parts how hard would installation be? I might be willing to go though with it depending. ![]() ![]() |

![]() MINI2 Regular | Why don't you just get a rear seat delete kit from Moss MINI? I have one I use occasionally, you can swap your seats in and our in about 40 minutes when you get the hang of it, and you could get a rear strut to stiffen the rear of the car. The rear seat delete kit is only about 200 Dollars. |

| MINI2 Master | when you say different you actually mean there not there ![]() the sides are straight swap and the but the seat mounts on the MCs will need to be removed so you can fit the GP loading cover etc. Personaly i would buy it as it is, remove the seats and then fit some carpet over the gap along with a GTT rar strut brace. same effect and a fraction of the cost!!! |

Offline | Thinking of this myself. Only difference is to get a spare wheel. Use the mouting points for the seat belts brackets in the centre to create a mount to secure the spare wheel. Only GP thing I'd be tempted to buy are the bits to cover up the seat belt sections near the back windows. As removing these would save some more weight. I think Rear Seat delete and seat belt delete would still take more weight out of the car than adding a lightweight rim would add. Downside of fitting the GP side panels is you would lose the mounting hole that the rear seats use that you use for a rear strut brace. |
