OEM CD headunit

Hello All,
I'm new to the MINI2 forum - actually new to the new MINI in general. We've had (and still have) a classic cooper for several years and took the plunge in November and got a 2004 cooper to go with it
We're delighted with the car except for one thing - the lack of a CD player. I've been reading threads here recently and see that this isn't uncommon for a 2004 cooper, but the cassette deck has just gotta go! Initially I was just going to stick a BMW CD changer in the boot – but to my dismay the CD prep isn’t there! (unfortunately I didn’t realise this until after I had bought a 2nd hand changer off ebay – it wasn’t until I went to plug it in that I realised the cable wasn’t there – ouch!) So I’m going down the road of replacing the head unit. I’d prefer to go for an OEM unit and am considering going down the ebay route again to get a 2nd hand Boost unit. My question is, is it safe to assume that these 2nd hand units don’t require a code to work?
Also, I guess I’ll need to get a Wave-to-Boost adapter too - anyone know if I can get this from my BMW dealer?
And finally – anyone looking for a BMW CD changer before I stick this one back up on ebay?

Thanks for your help!

You will need a wave to boost adaptor & wont need a code
Your dealer might have one - I know we have plenty on the shelf

Great - thanks Mikey. Once I get the unit I'll be in touch for the adapter (You deliver to Ireland right?)
