hi,
i have recently just purchased a in car dvd player unit for my mini.

it wasnt supplied with an iso connector cable. what cable would i need to connect it to the existing iso connector on the car.

the connection on the headunit is 16 pins in all, over 2 rows of 8

I was in your situation, and rather than risk buyin stuff online that could be wrong part, i went to halfords, showed em my car, showed them the stereo and they got the bit in between, dont know if you have time in the week whether you work or not, but i had to wait a few days til teh weekend before i could go, but they gave me the right part, and i was away. Prob worth a trip to your nearest halfords, mine are really helpful!!!

I may have one that fits you can have it for cheap, its brand new.

You cant change the head unit in the R56 its all built into the centre consol. Its all spread out too much, volume control, CD insert, controls etc. If you wanted a DVD player you would be better getting the inbuilt satnav in the speedo and conncting i to a DVD player

By the way dont go to Halfrauds! they told me my air bag cables were audio cables!
