iPod Interface removal

I need to remove the BMW iPod interface from my '03 Cooper S, to get back the CD Changer capability.

I see that there's more to fitting the iPod kit than might be imagined, with some wire cutting involved (for the iBus wires I think). Is there a simple way to eliminate this and reconnect everything as it should be, or will I have to reverse the installation and refit different terminals etc?

Anyone done this before?

No response so far. Perhaps I could extend the breadth of my question.

Could anyone describe exactly what is supplied in the OEM iPod Interface kit? The official instructions are somewhat sparse with regard to description of the parts. If I know what the wiring harness was like I'd be able to make a better guess at what would be required for its removal.

there was a copy of the fitting instructions floating around on the site about a year ago, or at least a link to a pdf. I found it when i wanted to replace mine with an icelink.
In the end I removed the box of tricks and the i-pod lead- both sort of din plugs and just connected in the icelink harness as usual.
When selecting source on head unit it showed as aux 1 and aux 2. The lead that lead to the mini ipod connector i just taped out of harms way with insulating tape.

I think Minimaniauk has a link to the instructions for installing the ipod link, so I expect that it would be just a matter of going backwards...
