DIY Custom parrot 3100 bluetooth screen instalation

I have been using the parrot evo bluetooth kit in my Mini linked through the MFSW.
However now that we can link the 3100 to the mfsw I thought I would fit one to my Mini as it works better with the iphone
I was considering fitting the screen on one of our rev counter mounts, but then thinking of my pre facelift mini I came up with an idea.
Pre facelift Minis had a clock in the roof by the mirror, but the post facelift have extra interior lights.

Looks smart! I'm toying with the idea of a bluetooth kit, but not sure which one, and would like to intergrate it like the above - however, I have an R53 with roof mounted clock.

Looks really good Mike

It must have taken you longer than expected on Friday, either that or there were more people like me taking up you time on the phone and not allowing you to complete the job on Friday night.

Looking forward to seeing the 3200 pod later today after that I will be in a position to confirm my full ICE spec for the left hoooker.

Keep the innovation going

Alan

The 3100 mount is my idea/build - the 3200 one has been done by one of my suppliers - he showed me a prototype last week & suggested it would be good to have one in my Mini.
They have arrived today - I spent a while trying to fit it to my car but it wouldnt - its for the R56 - doh

Shame, I'd love a better solution for the 3200. Mine is on one of you no-holes rev-counter mounts at the mo', and whilst it looks OK, it's hardly "integrated"........and therefore open to potential theft.

To be honest - having used the rev counter mount & over the weekend the clock position = I prefare the rev mount for everyday use

The latest plus version of the 3200 has a removable screen

Taken a look now, looks good!

I suppose it still needs to be wired in to the stereo though?

Mikey

Does the Parrot 3100 have to link all the way to the stereo etc by hardwire? I assume so? If so what route did you take with the cables/are the stock leads long enough to go all the way back to the stero, or did you have to slice some extra length on etc? I have a 3100 sitting about and have not opened it as was thinking of binning it off, but it this can be done (I have a prefacelift, and no need for the clock) then I'd love to do it...but need to know if its ready to rock, or if I need to fiddle.

PM if you want

Cheers

R
