Is it possible to fit R56 seats into a R50?

Do all the connectors and fitting remain the same?

Connectors are totally different - not sure about the mounts

The mountings are the same.

The connectors are not, but the inner pins are and can be transposed over to the old connectors.

Did a bit of digging around, it seems that R56 seats can go into an R53, as Mod N Mini have done it. they might not have reconnected the bags though (another thread here on MINI2 suggests the connectors could be cut off and swapped over)

It's not clear if they tilt/tip/slide correctly? Because after all, R56 is slightly different internally :?:

yes as above but you will lose airbags at present, just pop in a resistor to keep the ECU happy.

However i am pretty confident there will be an adaptor on its way soon for the airbags
