Aux Audio Input for Boost CD Player

Hi All

I am new to the forum and was looking around last night when i stmbled accross the Auxiliary Audio Input "How to" / DIY entry.

Has anyone done this on a RHD mini? If so, was it as simple as it looks? I have spoken to my BMW dealer and they started taling about programming the lead in... is this right or is it, as it sounds, a load of rubbish?

I am keen to install myself but don't want to rip the dash apart only to find that it won't work. BTW the car in question is a August 2004 Mini One D fitted with a CD Radio Boost.

Thanks in advance

Andy

YEP Look here:

read the last couple of pages. Us UK people have had a go ourselves. There is no programming in for the standard aux lead thats rubbish. I just took the stereo out and plugged into the already existing aux plug and play the wires. Its brilliant and easy and only £40 for the cable and a brilliant little DIY job.

As Laura has said ... it's dead easy plug & play stuff. Well worth it.
