Gateway 300 installation

Hello everyone,

Although I've been a member of the forum for about six months, this is my first post and I thought I'd start with a (hopefully) simple question.

I've purchased the Gateway 300 interface from mikeythemini for my 2005 Cooper S. Thanks to the step by step guide on newministuff.com I'm fairly confident I can tackle the installation but I'm not sure where to attach the control box with DENSION written on it. There are 2 tie- wraps that are obviously used to attach it to something but what do you attach it to??? Is it fastened inside the glove box or is it secured out of site behind the radio with just the leads being routed into the glovebox? Hopefully one of you who have installed this system can tell me what they did.

I am hoping for a reasonably swift response as I plan to install it today.

Thanks in advance for all responses,

Matt

You can let it drop down below the radio, or you can tie it to the dash bracket -you will have pulled down the drivers knee bolster to unscrew the radio pillars look above the drivers side one there is a metal bracket you can tie it to
ANY problems - I am here for another hour - 08703609599

Thumbs up

Thanks for the quick response Mike, I think that answers my question.

Once again, great service and first class backup, I can't recommend your company highly enough.

Gateway 300 installation

Hello:

This is my first post too. Can you tell me how the USB interface works for you. Can you install a thumbderive and play mp3 music?
