| MINI2 Regular | Can i connect my ipod to my mini? I'm not very techinal so thought I would put this question to you all. Just had an ipod nano and wondering if there is any way of getting it connected to my 2001 cooper? It has a standard tape headunit with a BMW CD changer in the boot? Has anyone done this already? |

Offline | I havent but it can be done. Below is a tutorial posted in the FAQ section on here: http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?f..._faq_aux_input Scroll down the page a bit to see it. Instead of doing what he is saying, you could run the cable behind into the storage shelf or into the cup at the front. I use an FM transmitter though ![]() |

Online | Please note - the above solutions WILL NOT work for you 2001 Mini stereos (wave or boost) do not have aux in & if you have standard cassette then this is WAVE & they never had aux in facility 2001-2006 But all is not lost. You can fit a gateway 100 - £90 + vat. With this solution you will LOSE your CD changer but you will be able to control the ipod from the stereo. You could fit an icelink lite - again you will LOSE your Cd changer £95 + vat. This charges the ipod & gives audio from the dock connector, you use the ipod buttons. You could fit AUX in for Wave - again you LOSE the CD changer £40 + vat. This just plugs into the headphone jack on the ipod & DOESNT charge it. You could fit an icelink FM. This has a cradle for the ipod, charges it & plays through the radio (its not an fm transmitter) You can keep your CD changer. We can provide this as a splice kit or plug & play |
