Recently purchased an R50 Cooper (54 plate) and had the iPod interface fitted at the dealership. Managed to get to grips with how to use it although it seems to only play so many tracks randomly when I select the play ipod contents option (6) ?

Does the interface make a copy of the ipods tracks and play its 'limited' playlist? It's confusing me as I have around 4000 tracks on my ipod and prefer to use it as my in car radio so when the same song comes on after a couple of hour's play, its rather annoying. It has no problem skipping through using the steering controls to a new random track, also doesn't seem to limit itself to the start of the ipod's contents as it can quite happily switch from an artist beginning with B to one beginning with S for example.
