installing a sub

in need of some advice if anyone knows the answer...i have a mini one and have a sub from my old car but is there any way you can put it on a standard mini sterio? went to BMW and they didnt have a clue...so would appreciate if anyone could help me out

yes there is a way to do it. i forget exactly how. you will need an RCA splitter cable of sorts. you best bet would be to just ask tour local car audio shop

What amp are you using?
Does it have high level inputs?
Is your stereo WAVE or BOOST?

I've done this on a standard radio boost. Im no expert so I'll leave any helpful advice to Mikey.

As we're on the subject; my boot has a 12V power supply to the left. I got my voltage/wattage meter out at the weekend and it was reading nearly 200w. Would it work if I used that to power the amp/sub? My amp is 400w; 200w is ample for me as I already have the HK system which is very bassey

how are you getting the power cable to the boot? i couldnt work that out?
