Leatherette or Leather?

So are the leatherette seats HOT in the summer? I know they are more durable than leather but Im not so cure about the comfort factor and it seems a bit cheap to buy a convertible and put plastic seats in it.. ( then again, it might be the intelligent decision given dirt easy cleaning etc.. ) Sheesh.. I can't figure it out!!
