Got the most annoying rattle ever imaginable at the back half of the dash right behind the windscreen but I don't know how to take the section off to sort the problem out. I took off the first section of the dash easily as it is just 4 screws, which is sort of like the dash 'cover' if you like. But it looks as though the back section is moulded onto the the actual dashboard structure. Just typical that the rattle is coming from the hardest place to get to inside the dash. Don't really want to get MINI to sort it out as it will be, or whats looks to be a pretty long, hard job which means a pretty high price.Does anyone know how to actually take off the main dashboard structure, thanks

You are right about that piece being part of the main dashboard moulding.
It get that part out is a big job including removing the steering wheel and the dashboard harness, long job.

Sorry I don't have better news for your rattle.
