Can anyone help?

Bought a standard Aux in cable for my cooper s works (the BMW £40 one with the jack socket on the end)
I have 2 slots where the white plug can plug into my stereo on the back. One, (the inward one) is where the CD prep wires were and a blank one. I plugged the AUX in cable into the blank one and it didnt work. No Aux was selectable. I plugged it into the CD changer one and it still didnt work.

Anyone have any ideas as to what im doing wrong.

Cassette boost doesn't have aux in
If you dont have a cd changer you can use this - NewMINIStuff.com
It converts the changer input into an aux in

Thanks for looking in Mikey - was hoping you would!

Its an 2005 cassette boost? Does that not make a difference? Your site says 01/02 boost for that cable so rather than order from you, I went straight for the BMW one!

Im going to get pretty darn angry at the dealer (who checked the spec of my car etc) before selling me that cable if it was never going to work!!
I have loads of slots for those white plugs in the back of my head unit so I thought it would have worked! Flipping mini!!!!

I aimed it at 2001& 2002 cd boost as these dont have aux in but it will do all boost units with no cd changer
