Rattly Door Pockets Fix

Here is a link to a page I put together on my Door Pocket fix. I did this the first weekend I had the car (thanks to the postings in the forums to bring this to my attention). It is soooo simple and it works so well.

The fix involves using Tool Drawer lining material to cover the bottom of the pockets. Here is the page:

Cheers!

Great fix, notpaddyhopkirk!

I think I made a similar suggestion in the "things you'd like to see in the 2003 interior" thread.

Besides the toolbox liner material, something else that might work is the plastic mesh used by bartenders to keep glasses clean. Probably not as "grippy", but should cut down on the rattles some.

Thanks guys,

Nice to see that there are others with the same idea!
It just worked for me so, I thought I would share the information. Hopefully I will have more valuable info to share in the future (don't think I will ever get to the same level as some of the amazing contributors here though!)

Well done on the template thing, I got some of that liner for the boot and thought about doing the door pockets but couldn't be bothered to cut it to shape! Thanks!

the MINI has gone...

Technical Issue

This is a great idea, but the posted template did not work for me at all- it came out way to big, both when I just looked at it on screen, or tried to print it.

I wonder if the problem is that my Windows screen setting is not the same as Erics. I am running 1280x1024.

Could this be the source of my problem?

Thanks

Print Size problem

Tom,
Try it again, I have corrected the size of the template. Although the print size set correctly, it just wasn't coming out right.

I have checked this one and it looks correct against my hand made template.
