Hi all,

can anybody remember seeing some instructions on how to retro fit the glovebox?

i have tried doing a search but cant find em and i am sure they are here somewhere!

Also - gonna attempt to fit my chrome handbrake lever today too (pressie from the missus!), how the hell does the old one come off?

Sorry if these are silly questions - I am good at Sat Nav and all things computers/PS2 but anything else - all help is appricated!!!

Hi woodman long time no see!

As for the chrome handbrake thing, just pull the front silver bit of the handbrake off and you will see some clips on the inner sleeve of the existing handbrake. Use a small screwdriver to lift these and it should slide off.

If you look at the chrome one you should be able to work out what I talking about.

P.S. The chrome is disappointing isn't it?!

And yeah, long time no hear!!! - When is the next meet you'll be at anyway? it seems ages since Mini Meet 02!

I am gonna attempt the install today i think, dont have the blue clips bracket things though.... mmmm????

And yeah they should rename the handbrake - the brushed alloy one!

Ok so the chrome aint that good but if you mix and match the parts from the original handbrake you can get an all chrome lookalike one!!!

Oh... right i get it now....

didnt realise BMW had started calling it "the force" I thought it was just dodgy manufacturing that was cause that left pull!
