Monitor in the car?? (where the cup holder) tat useless hole

hi ppl i'm thinking of geting a monitor to fit in that hole . anyone did it? if do what's the size of it?

Been thinking about this one myself! I think that is a 4.5" screen in DC's old MINI...

i'm just wondering can u even see it?
will the stick of the manual block it?
i'm planning to take out the cup holder part and put the screen a bit front

You can see the screen if you are sitting in traffic! I found out that the screen was mounted on a pivot, but I never bothered to adjust it. I adjusted the brightness/contrast of the LCD to get a better view.

When the car was in 5th gear, the screen was 60% obscured but it was for SatNav and I used the voice prompts so it wasn't really an issue.

The reason for mounting the screen behind the cupholders was for stealth. Most mini2ers never realised I had SatNav because the screen surround was black and the screen in off-mode was also black.
