CD Changer location

Has anyone mounted the CD changer either in the glovebox or on the shelf that could replace the knee bolster?

I was thinking about how much I'd like a changer and the dealership said my car would be the first that they did it to. I'm wondering if it will work before plunking down the $$.

If nothign else, would replacing the glove box and putting the Euro-shelf in it's place work too?

if you ask me...

That thing better be made out of Gold for the price they're charging: ~$650.00 US.
No thanks. You can get a real nice in-dash disc changer for less than half of that (Blaupunkt makes a 5 disc changer) or even buy an aftermarket deck and 6 disc changer for less than that. (You can spend more than that obviously but I'm guessing that if you compare quality, you can get a comparable set up for much less than what they want for that disc changer.
I don't see how it could be worth it.

Motor on.
