What's the latest on MFSW adapters?

A while back I read all the threads on MFSW adapters for Sony head units. Now I have my Mini with MFSW and my Sony headunit fitted. I am wondering if a proper adapter is yet available? I know about the SWIX unit but I just want a simple lead which will interface the unit. I tried the connect2 BMW lead by accident cos a stereo shop said they had 'something' that would work. It didn't. So what's the news???????????

Thumbs down

i have had exactly the same problem and i too was told by autoleads that an adaptor was available and when i tried it it did not work properly. initially they told me they were making one but that ws 2months ago and I have not heard from them despite repeated emails i have sent. One suggestion, if you do not have a high end head unit like cdx m730 or above, is to get a swix fitted. Got to www.newministuff.com to enquire about one of these.

Good luck t both of us in gtting the frigging thing working

Do not underestimate the powers of B.S. that are possessed by the employees of Autoleads.

P.S. Apologies if your prototype is not from them

sorry

just spoke to autoleads and it seems i am out of order. i assume you are the guy to whom the prototype is going for testing tmorrow or thursday. I am sorry for doubting you. Its just that the frigging thing has been on its way for a long long long long time as i am sure you will agree.

Please keep us updated on your progress with autoleads and the lead itself and inform us of any news as and when you hear it.

long live mikeythemini (sorry once again).

hey no offence taken earlier, thought you wer havin a laf
Yes we have all been waitin ages, I told autoleads that the bmw leads wouldn't do but they didn't believe me until I showed them.
Their technical dept says it has been a very tricky one to make compared to the bmw 3 series. Just hope prototype to production doesnt take too long. (Should offer the prototype to the highest bidder )
I am having the same trouble with Clarion - they insist the Mini is the same as bmw.
As did connects2.
keep you informed, my car is waiting.
