Green Cooper Odometer light staying on after car is turned off?

Does anyone know why this is doing this? I've just started noticing it and wondered if there is way to stop it. Any info would be appreciated.

I know this is stupid to ask, but did you turn off the light?

have you installed any accessories or played with your wiring? i recently installed a new headunit and had a similar problem where the orange odometer (spedometer), and tachometer light and the light around the lighter would not turn off.

This is not normal.
Have you installed a new stereo HeadUnit?

I think you have a problem in the HU wiring. I suspect that the illumination wire is somehow connected to +12V, either because of incorrect connection, or even worse, inside the HU. The latter is rather improbable.

You get the odometer to illuminate without the key by pressing the button. Maybe if you press the button it will go off?

Just a suggestion

I have noticed this problem on my mini today. I take out the key and the chimes for a while and all is off lights, key and the display just stays on. I have not done anything diffrent to my car. i also notice my blinker does not click or blink, as well as it will no longer lock with my remote. Am on the verge of a total breakdown?? Does this combination sound familiar??

Thak you byte
